Amplifi Napa Valley is proud to share our grantee Upstage Napa Valley’s upcoming PlayFest 2025, a three-weekend celebration of original short plays written by both local and national playwrights. From October 10–26, audiences will experience a rich mix of humor, history, social commentary, and heartfelt storytelling—all performed live right here in our community.

Each weekend features a different series of plays, giving audiences the chance to return for new experiences. Tickets are $30 per performance, or $75 for a special package that includes one performance each weekend.

• Janis Joplin in Aisle 29 by Susan Jackson
  A humorous late-night encounter with Janis Joplin at Walmart.

Second Weekend (October 17–19)

• The Un-Americanization of Emily by Michael Waterson
  Federal agents pose preposterous questions that force a preschool owner to leave the country.
• Coat of Gold by Susan Jackson
  A moving story of an institutionalized man living with dementia.
• Thanksgiving: A Greek Tragedy by Susan Jackson
  Family dynamics unravel during the holiday table gathering.

Third Weekend (October 24–26)

• Meet in the Park by Tiffany Turner
  The spirit of a loved one returns on the anniversary of his death.
• Ghosted by Alli Williams
  When an online date gets hit by a truck, he shows up late—as a ghost.
• Waiting for Magic by Linda S. Gunther
  As Deirdre contemplates walking into the ocean, a mysterious man appears. Is he real, or just her imagination?
